The core-centring, 3-axis controlled CFS-100 fusion splicer is the perfect companion for splicing work on small and large projects. The lightweight and flexible precision splicer enables the splicing of G.651 fibres with an attenuation of less than 0.01 dB and G.652 fibres with an attenuation of less than 0.02 db (typical). Equipped with removable universal fibre holders, SOC holder and internal thermometer and barometer, the CFS-100 can be used anywhere. A fast five-second start time and an average splicing time of nine seconds, as well as the automatic heating oven for shrink splice protection sleeves, speed up the work process and result in more splices per time.

Intelligent systems support the user at work
The CFS-100 supports the user in troubleshooting and quality assessment by recording the cleave break angle, the core-axis offset, the cleanliness of the fibre and the splice attenuation. Customised limit values can be defined and stored in profiles. Before each splicing process, the spliceability of the fibres is analysed and the fibres are cleaned using a cleaning arc. If the prospect of a satisfactory splice result is not good enough, the device cancels the process to save time-consuming reworking. Re-ARC makes it possible to improve the splicing result at a later stage.
If desired, splicing and shrinking can be defined in detail in various profiles. If this is not desired, the fibre type can also be recorded fully automatically and the device determines the required parameters itself.

Designed for the toughest operating conditions
The robust housing is equipped with rubber bumpers and a windscreen and the splice area has LED lighting for working in the most adverse environments. The bright, 5" LCD touch display has two operating modes, allowing you to work in two positions from the front and rear of the device. The replaceable battery with a capacity of 4400 mAh and the electrodes can be changed in seconds.
